Welcome to the Family: CobdenHayson Drummoyne x Abbotsford Juniors Football Club

This year, CobdenHayson Drummoyne is proud to become a Major Partner and Sponsor of one of the Inner West's most beloved football clubs, Abbotsford Juniors Football Club, and we couldn't be more excited to be part of what they've built.

The Club held its inaugural meeting on 26th October 1965, making 2026 a genuinely special year - their 60th anniversary! Six decades of Saturday mornings, bacon and egg rolls at Campbell Park, and kids discovering what it means to play as part of a team and a community.

The scale of the club today is remarkable. Abbotsford Juniors has over 1,500 registered members and more than 90 teams, with age groups ranging from Under 6 all the way through to Over 50 - boys, girls, and mixed teams throughout. In 2024, they went even further, launching an All Abilities Football Program for players with a disability. This is a club that truly means it when they say everyone is welcome.

What resonates most with us is what the club stands for. Their values: exchange in the community, respect, fair play, leadership, and development, are all visible in the way the club is run, the way its coaches show up, and the way its families pour their weekends into making it work.

That ethos sits close to home for us at CobdenHayson. The suburbs the Abbotsford Juniors call home: Abbotsford, Drummoyne, Five Dock, Chiswick, Russell Lea and surrounds, are the same streets we work in every day. And for some of us, the connection runs deeper than that. Our own Jack Egan, son of Directors Chad and Lisa, spent five years at the club from kindy through to Year 4. He knows the families, the fields, and the feeling of pulling on that kit for the first time. It's that kind of personal connection that makes this partnership feel right.

We're looking forward to a long and meaningful relationship with the Abbotsford Juniors - supporting the volunteers, coaches, and families who make it all happen, season after season.
