Cobden & Hayson team members are fundraising to support an exceptionally worthy cause, the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We have a group of 13 dedicated individuals aiming to raise a total of $13,000 to help fund research to find a cure.
Proceeds will go towards projects which could speed up the next breakthrough, significantly benefitting the 15,934 women diagnosed each year and moving closer towards the goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
As the NBCF is 100% community funded, donations and fundraising initiatives are essential to drive the new ideas needed in breast cancer research while also enabling our researchers to continue their important work.
There is a limited research budget in Australia with many researchers competing for the same funding, which means a lot of high quality research simply doesn’t get off the ground. The NBCF is fundamental to improving the treatment options available and keeping promising researchers working in the field and undertaking innovative projects.
We invite all the community to come and sample the delights at our good old fashioned cake stall being held at the Balmain Market on the 13th of May from 9am to 3pm to help support this great effort.
