The background

On 21st October 2021, Ralph Daher and Peter Gordon sold 46 Evans Street, Rozelle, a Tony McLain-designed luxury home offering 530sqm of space over three levels. Features such as a home cinema, spa pool, triple parking and dramatic city skyline views made it an extra-special offering which sold the day before auction for an impressive undisclosed price above $5m.

Strategies we employed in this campaign

Ralph comments, “This property was actually purchased through CH back in 2007 and we’d maintained a strong relationship with the vendor ever since. Because of the heat in the market and the frenzied demand for local prestige property at the time, we decided to take it to auction to leverage the competition among buyers.

“Demand proved to be strong and the most promising buyers came through the CH database right at the start of the campaign, many of whom we’d established solid relationships with. Thanks to this we were able to introduce these buyers to the property on the very first day that it hit the market. Feedback from buyers was that they really loved the quality of the home, the size and the general feel.

“We ended up receiving a number of offers prior to the auction that the vendor was willing to consider. In the end the property was sold just one day before the scheduled auction for a result that the vendors were pleased with.”
